need help with Flowers

Hi Ladies,I am having trouble in deciding the flowers I should carry and my bridesmaids.  My color is eggplant and lavender.  I am thinking I should carry Lavender roses with stephanotis and have my girls carry all white roses. Their dresses are so dark and sometimes to much purple is to much. What should I do?  Sara

Hi! My bridesmaid colors are eggplant also. I was having a hard time deciding what colors for flowers too, I think I will carry ivory roses with touches of lavender and dark purple. For the bridesmaids I like a deep pink/magenta with some light purple hydrangeas and maybe light blue. Who knows, I haven't met with a florist yet to see what they think. That's my next step! Let me know what you decide! Jenny

we used a dark plum purple for the girls dresses. i didn't do any purple in their bouquets.... they had white stock, hot pink stargazer lillies and green cymbidium orchids. mine was basically the same but with purple stock. the stock smells great too! i also have tons of flower pics in the purple bio in my siggy... good luck!

My colors were ivory, taupe, with touches of eggplant... the BM's actually carried a bouquet with mini calla lilies that had an eggplant colored throat (it's called "picasso lilies").  This is NOT a picture from my wedding -- I just googled picasso lilies and found this picture ...  http://www.greatexpectationsky.com/blog/wp-content/centerpiece-007.jpg . My florist mixed the picasso lilies with white cymbidium orchids and some white roses.  This bouquet was more on the white side with splashes of eggplant... but I just wanted to throw out that flower if you wanted to lighten it up.
