NetBride/Bill Levkoff Sizing

http://netbride.com/exclude/sizecharts/levkoff.htmDress: Bill Levkoff 929 That is the chart from netbride regarding sizing.Do you follow it exactly? My girls are the following sizes:Girl One is normally a 16/18 dress size and her measurements are 43/39/44.5 (b/w/h)Girl Two is 18/20 and her measurements are 47.5/44/47.5Do we order based on the biggest measurement?I think the hips won't be an issue in the dress since its A-Line so it would be waist or bust. For example, Girl one is a size 20 based on bust but a size 24 based on waist. Her bust is the biggest measurement.  Which size to order?Girl 2 is a 24 based on Bust and a 28 based on waist...but once again bust is the biggest.

When they say to order based on the biggest measurement, they mean biggest size-wise, not inches-wise. So whatever measurement coincides with the largest size is the one you should order, in this case the hips measurement sizes. If the dress is not fitted through the hips, then go with whatever size is largest between the waist or bust measurement since those will be fitted to the body.

We ordered Bill Levkoff dresses, too.  (style 601)  The girls sizes were also all over the place.  The dress we chose had a high empire waist, so the girls ordered more off their bust sizes because that's the part that was fitted to their body.  I think it depends on how the dresses fit and what part of the dress is fitted and what part flares out more.

While our dresses weren't bill levkoff, I would go based off of the waist measurement.  Even though their busts are their largest measurement size wise, but the proportions that the designer has does not align with their proportions.  It is a LOT easier to have a dress taken in then let out/have fabric added.  I had one girl who chose to ignore her waist measurement (which said she needed a dress one or two sizes bigger) and she had to have fabric from the bottom of the dress added to the back and it looked like crap!  (by the time I found out it didn't fit, like 3 weeks before, I just told her to figure it out because I didn't really care anymore)

In the picture, they look to be pretty fitted through the waist. Did your girls try them on? The waist measurement difference between a size 20 and a size 24 is 4 inches. If a girl has a 39 inch waist, I would think a dress that was made with a 35.5 inch waist is going to be UNCOMFORTABLY TIGHT through the midsection and back even if it wasn't made to be very formfitting. Maybe try calling NetBride and see how they suggest handling it? It's annoying that companies size them all so differently. Good luck!

Netbride won't recommend sizes since they aren't the ones measuring...I tried as that would have been the most helpful.

order based on the biggest measurement....they are going to have to get them altered regardless and it's much easier to take a dress in than it is to let it out.
