Rustic/Farm wedding in Chicago

Hi all,I am newly-engaged and we are planning a Fall 2010 wedding here in the Chicago area. We'd love something rustic on a farm in a barn somewhere relatively close (we'd love to have guests shuttled from the city to the site), but we've only lived in Chicago for a year so are pretty clueless as to what may be available.Any ideas for a rustic farm site convenient to Chicago proper? I have been to two weddings at the Byron Colby barn (one fall, one summer) and both were beautiful! It was pretty easy to get to from Chicago.

I love what I have seen of Byron Colby Barn, I am thinking of that place myself.Does anyone have a pictures of the place? There are not many online, and the few on their site don't show how it looks during a wedding.

The Byron Colby Barn is awesome, I went to go see it, but I hear the guy in charge can be a bit rude and a stickler, so just make sure you guys meet with him :-)

Hello claireeea,Well that sounds like tons of fun and wish you luck.  I myself am getting married in a banquet hall and its a little over a year....Since I read that your newly engaged, I just wanted to help you out with an entertainment suggestion.   If you havent found your dj, look into Windy City Mix.  Their website is windycitymix.com  My sister used them and I will be using them too.  Check out their website and give them a call if you like.  I promised them that I was going to recommend them to everyone!  Actually they are running a special now thru December for $200 off.  They are super friendly and the coolest was their light show....good luck!Milan-
