I got each of my BMs something different.  I shopped for them like I would for their birthdays. One of my BMs is a huge wine lover so I gave her a few bottles of nice wine and a gift card for a wine tasting at a local winery for her and her husband. Another one of my BMs loves country music so I got her concert tickets. It worked out really well.  I didn't waste money on gifts that they may not like and they got something they could actually use.

i got mine a tote bag that matches their style, and filled it with a pashmina, flip-flops for the reception, earrings, bracelet, a letter, a small candle, lip gloss, and a personalized koozie that said "Will & Marci got married and all i got was this damn koozie! 10-31-09"

I was going to get them each something different, but they all ended up getting necklaces!  Each one was made by a different Etsy seller and is completely personalized.  They're definitely not meant for the wedding day. I'll probably end up getting them something else non-wedding related as well - like a nice scarf, cool wallet/purse...something useful.

Custom clutches (by a friend who is a handbag designer - PIB) with a custom lip gloss from Sonia Roselli and a sixpence. I also took them to tea at the Drake as a thank you luncheon the Friday before.

A friend of mine is making them jewelry for the wedding customized to each of their styles, then they have a pashmina in our wedding color (turquoise) and I'm going to get flip flops too, if i can find them.

I made them bags (bought blank bags and added ribbon and a monogram w/rhinestones) and put their accessories in them (boas and hairpieces) as well as a pursehook. I got my girls a shawl (macys) and earrings (etsy) for our november wedding.   We had a book theme for our wedding (made donation to Chicago Public Library) so I got each girl a twilight book or follow up book, coffee mug, warm socks and a book mark.
