I've been to six bridal stores (Kathryn's, A'lamour, one in Rockford, David's, House, and finally Volle's) and am pretty sick of trying on gowns. I can fit into a 14 and up to see what they look like, but am a size 20 in bridal right now. It's been an exercise in frustration trying to camoflauge my belly and hips, and to actually like the gowns in the first place.
Today at Volle's, I had Pamela as my consultant and I found THE dress. It is the Maggie Sottero Presca and everything I wanted. All lace, no beading, vintage-looking. My mom, best friend and her sister all loved me in it! I am not ordering until February since I've been calorie counting and hope to drop a size by then - but this is absolutely it. Plus Pamela was fantastic at finding what I looked good in and following my lace guideline.
I feel beautiful in it and it and sideways, don't even look as wide as I am! I mean it is great. I'm truly excited to wear this.
