Username change?

Hi ladies!
Okay so I know there is kind of a line on The Knot that you can't cross between vendor and bride and that there have been some issues with vendors on here. It really hasn't been hard for me because honestly, I'm just so darn excited to be a Bride, BUT I don't want it to come across that I am advertising my business ever and was asked by The Knot to change my username so isn't directly my name - I'm kind of bummed that vendors have set the stage for this - I just enjoy the advice from you girls and providing it as well! If I can answer some of your questions and help you out then I am more than happy to do so :)  As I'm looking into it though I'm realizing there's no way to change your username is there? I don't want to create a whole new account. Does anyone know if there's a way to do this?

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! :)

Unfortunately, there's no way to change it. Don't worry about it. I will vouch that you're a bride-to-be. SO long as you don't do what imtaken07 has found one vendor to be doing, you're SET! LOL. Like if someone asks for a place to buy shoes, and you say something like "well, I'm not sure about shoes, but I know of a great Wedding Coordinator" that might set off an alarm. Ha ha ha ha.

If the Knot did ask you to change it, it's not difficult to create a new one. A pain...yep, but it's not difficult!

Good Luck, and looking forward to that Happy Hour! I'm going to invite you now to the Chicago Knottie Facebook page! :)

There isn't a way to change it; you would have to create a whole new account.

With that being said I remember a few vendors that were just brides that happened to work in the wedding industry that were flat out banned.  I'm not sure if their rules have changed to allow it, but I'm glad they've given you the chance to stick around.
