How to choose a DJ

Hi everyone!! So I am worried about choosing a DJ. With bands you can atleast watch clips of them performing but how do you screen DJs and make a decision?? Just by word of mouth? Anyone have a great expereince in the Cleve/Akron area?? Thanks!!!

    we are using TKO entertainment and they are fabulous. they invite you out to their studio and give you a demo.

    We went by suggestions on The Knot. We are going with the DJ Crew. All of the Dj's go through a training program and work their way up to become lead DJ's. John, one of the owners, is very knowledgeable about all kinds of music and very personable too. Check them out & let them know that Jen & Mike getting married on 7/24 sent you!

    yep, we went through amazing recommendations from the knot as well. the DJ crew always gets stellar reviews, so i talked to john (he is SO knowledgeable and nice) and we booked them!

    We used Joe Wolan of Direct Hits. He also spins at a local club in the Cleveland area, so we went and saw him for ourselves to check him out before we booked.
