Welcome Bags

What did you guys use for your welcome bags? Gable boxes? Plain gift bags?

Also, what did you put in them?

We are thinking Chicago Scene Magazine (free!!), Chicago postcard, Chicago map, Wrigley gum...

I used craft gable boxes (there are a bunch left over since they came in a pkg of 50 so you are welcome to them if you are interested). I put in Quaker granola bars, Wrigley gum, Fannie Mae candy bars, Garrett's popcorn (that I bagged myself), Alka Seltzer tablets, and bottles of water.

We are planning on doing water, garretts popcorn,  Frango mints or Fannie Mae candy, things to do in Naperville magazine, a listing of the wedding events and information and maybe some Chicago postcards.

Oh, and FI wants to give everyone a bottle of Goose Island.

I think we're just going to do craft bags with:
-water
-some kind of asprin/pain med
-bagged snacks bought in bulk from Costco/sams
-something sweet

I really like the Chicago products pp's are using---great ideas!

I'm going to include a map of the L.

I'm thinking el map as well. Some snacks and water, and a list of ideas of things to do while in town.
I'm also thinking of including a list of a few things we will be doing that people are welcome to come to during the weekend- brunches, beaches, etc with the times and locations so people can mingle with us and each other besides just at the wedding.

PS we're doing garretts popcorn, jelly bellys, water, maps, wrigleys chewing gum, and i really like the aspirin idea! lol
