Should I be concerned?

I set a reply by date of May 20 for my June 18 wedding. We sent out invitations to about 125 people thinking that we would have 100 or so attending, but as of right now only about 45 have replied that they are coming.

I'm a little concerned, mainly because there are many immediate family members on both sides that have not replied, and several people we considered to be close friends as well.

I know I still have about 10 days before it becomes an issue, but I'm having a hard time not being kind of hurt by it all. Should I be worried that no one will show up to my wedding?

Have the rest just not replied, or did you get a lot of No's?  If you are concerned about people that have not replied, call them the week after your "reply by" date, and let them know you never got their response cards.

    Don't fret yet :-)

I believe our situation is that a lot of people have not replied.

there are a lot of procrastinators out there and I bet you have several guests who think that you already know they are coming so don't need to RSVP. Just wait the 10 days and on day 11 start making phone calls!

    Totally agree with MrsPaps.

    Hang tight for now!

I agree, people tend to forget and/or procrastinate. Give it a little time and I bet they start rolling in the closer you get to your date!

Ditto, we had a lot of people that forgot and some were waiting to see about babysitters and work commitments. Just try to hang on to start calling people until day 11 :)

I wouldn't be worried at all.  I'd also give a few days after May 20th for stragglers to come in.

I'd start calling on May 24th.  The large majority of our RSVPs came in within 2 days before & after our RSVP deadline don't.  Don't worry!

Agape, we are wedding date twins!

I set my RSVP deadline for May 15, and will hold off until May 18th to start calling people. I still have to hear from 86 out of 192, so I am also hoping that a ton will come in soon.

And yes, May 15 is a Sunday, so that people wouldn't get confused by "mail-in by" or "send out on".... at least, that was what I was hoping for. I am guessing people will think May 16th will end up being the "send out on" deadline. Oh well!
