Escort Card Help

I am not 100% sure what the proper way to write a name on the escort card is for a married couple. We are only doing one card per couple (unless one person is in the bidal party of course). If the couple is Bob and Sue Smith which is right:
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith
Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Sue Smith
Bob and Sue Smith
Mr. Bob and Mrs. Sue Smith (that one looks silly to me?)

I think it would be nice to list both names but I am just not sure what is correct? Any advice? Thanks!

I think the most common answer is that names should be addressed formally, in the same way as the invitation.

    Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith

However, in terms of visual efficiency, I personally prefer avoiding the entire "title" portion, and going straight to the name.

    Robert and Susan Smith

it should be the same way that it is stated on the invite. Unless you invites John Doe and guest. then you need to find out the guest's name and list it as

    Mr. John Doe
    Ms. Sally Smith

Edit: To use your examples, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith is correct.

  • If you are losing the titles, I believe it should actually be:

    Susan and Robert Smith

Ladies first, and the man's first name should not be separated from his last name.
