midwest conference center?

Anyone have a wedding here? I only found a few reviews and would like to hear more about it...prices...food...ect.

After looking at pictures, we were really interested in the Midwest Conference Center.  We made an appointment to meet with the coordinator there.  It was a huge disappointment.  First of all, it is next to a senior home center.  Their skyline hall is actually the top floor on top of the senior home center.  The place is in the middle of nowhere and some train tracks.  Parking is not very appealing at all.  Inside it was just really dingy.  We went to visit last Spring and they had just got their carpet redone.  It was rainbow colored!  Their skyline hall is nice since it is glass all around, but the scenery isn't that great.  After this visit, I learned that pictures can be misleading.

One thing that I did like is that you can cater in.  The only thing is that you had to pay a fee or get their bar package.

I booked at the Crowne Plaza in Glen Ellyn which is owned by the same mgmt. co. They told me at the CP that the food is not very good. Cater in, if you book there.
