Any updates on your house? I've been checking but haven't seen an update!

Nothing yet!!! I'm so bummed - was hoping to hear today.

We put in a final offer on Friday (and I got to see the house!)... we offered almost $9,000 more thank asking price, but the realtor seems to think it will go for $120,000+ [we offered $118,000].

I'm still praying we get it, and hoping we hear tomorrow, but I really have no idea.

It's got a lot of potential. I still love the outside of the house - a lot of curb appeal. Inside is very open, which I love. The biggest downfall is that we'll need to replace ALL of the flooring in the house if we get it before it will be liveable. It was built in 1973 and I'm fairly certain it's all original carpeting... complete with 40 years worth of stains and nastiness. BLEH! And the vinyl flooring in the bathroom and kitchen is stained and warped... yuck. Will need some TLC, but will be well worth it if we get it.

    *fingers crossed*

STILL nothing today.. okay, okay... it's only been 3 business days. But still - I'm going nuts!

FI is going to call the realtor tomorrow if he hasn't heard from her by the time he gets off of work. There are two other houses in the same price range in the same area that don't need quite as much work (though both are smaller), so we don't want to miss out on our chance at those if the bank decides not to accept the offer on the first house.

Eeee... I just want a place to call our own!

Kelly, It's exciting. we went through the process not all that long ago and I actually work as an agent now. My best bit of advice is to make sure that your agent is reallyworking in your best interest and not just showing up to collect their paycheck. While most definitely earn their pay there are some that just show up. If you have any questions let me know. my email is Katie919@gmail.com

My fingers are still crossed for you!

    Thanks so much!

Our realtor is actually a friend of FI's family... and works very closely with FI's uncle (who is an appraiser). She came highly recommended, so I don't think that's the problem. Though, I suppose I could always be wrong.

Still have my fingers crossed here, though I won't be heartbroken not to get this house (I do love it, but it needs work)... I'm just more so at the point of wanting to know one way or another, so I know whether to celebrate or keep looking! haha
