Help!! I have been looking for a florist that offers sparklers in their centerpieces and I have had no luck. Does anyone know of any company that does? Please let me know!
Thank you!!! :)

That doesn't seem safe. . . I'm not sure I understand what you want here.
  • The centerpieces have sparklers in the middle of them and they only go off for maybe a min and a half.. ive seen them done and the florists usually have a pyro tech do them..they are perfectly safe..ive seen it before i just cant find the company! :
  • This seems odd to me.  They go off for a minute, then you've got blackened sticks coming out of your flowers?  Do sparks get in the food?  When would you light them?  How do you light them all?  I don't see how you could possibly light them all at once, and it would be weird to send a couple of people around to light them when one will have fizzled out before the next one even gets lit.  It seems like an awful lot of work for something that will only last a few seconds.

I would suggest putting your time and money elsewhere.

  • they are set off by a remote..no sparks do no get in the food and i believe they remove the sticks once they are done.. like i said ive seen these before, but yes im sure they are expensive but I want to make sure of the price.

This seems odd to me, too.

If you end up doing this, please warn your guests ahead of time.  I personally know a small handful of people who have pretty serious issues with fireworks/sparklers.  I don't think it's an uncommon phobia.  I'd feel pretty uncomfortable with a centerpiece exploding a few feet from my face, too.  Even if it's just for a minute.
  • You've used a sparkler before, correct?  Because they don't just spew sparks.  There will likely be debris all over the table.
  • In all honesty, if you do not know of a vendor, please do not post about how "odd" my idea is. I find it rude that most of you or criticizing my idea for my wedding. I appreciate everyones concern about fire and everything else, but if it was really not safe or debris would get everywhere, i wouldnt be interested. Thank you.

You cant tell people where to post seeing as this is a public forum.

And along with the other PPs, I think this is a weird idea. Do you really want people going from table to table during dinner to collect the left over burnt smelling sparklers? What if the sparkler burns your flowers?

Honestly I cant imagine many venues allowing this. If your venue is outside, how do you account for wind?

I think I saw this on the show My Big Fat Gyspy Wedding.

  • Im not telling people where to post, im asking to respect my orignal post on asking if anyone knows a vendor. I didnt post this question for everyones opinions or criticism, ITS RUDE. If I wanted all of this i would have asked for it. I like the idea, therefore i am asking for names of vendors. My venue is INSIDE and they DO allow it. I have been to a wedding where they had these, and they do not burn the flowers or leave debris..again, if they did I wouldnt want them.

    Saralynn -- I, too, have been to a wedding which had these, and you're correct -- no debris, no mess, no fuss.  Here's what I found.... <a href="http://www.effectspecialist.com/Fireworks-for-Wedding.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.effectspecialist.com/Fireworks-for-Wedding.htm</a><p align="center"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><strong>
