ordained in chicago?

Hi all... old detroit knottie here (turned nestie).  My friends live in Chicago and want to be married by another friend of ours.  I know how to get ordained here in Michigan, but I am wondering if the same places are valid in Chicago.  The vital records department isn't much help.....

Does anyone know where my friend can get ordained and have it be valid in the Chicago area?

My apologies if this gets asked a lot, I am not a regular here.

My cousin is getting ordained online at ULC.com. Illinois does not require a minister to be registered.

Same, our friend was ordained online through ULC and it worked in Kane County. Just to be sure, perhaps have your friend check county as well as state?

It's good in Cook as well. Our friend is in the process of getting ordained so we researched it.
