Lighting and draping

Hi!  Anyone in the NW suburban area.....Schaumburg--Buffalo Grove--McHenry---have any ideas/advice or vendors regarding lighting and draping?  We are looking to bring in some uplighting, ceiling draping and backdrop wall draping for our banquet hall-esque venue.

We are NOT do-it-yourselfers.....our first quote was approximately $3K---and we were hoping to work with half that budget.  This particular vendor was recommended from our venue staff.  We have asked them to reinvent their suggestions for our lower budget, but are wondering if anyone else has ideas/people.....

     I would check out Deborah for Art of Imagination.  However, I will warn you that she can be slow with responses, but her work is great!  Her prices were good, too!

    Thank you for asking this, I was curious about the same thing.  I just called her & she's on vacation & still took my call!  She sounds so sweet on the phone, I hope she can work within our budget... Fingers crossed!

    I'm using Precision Sound and Lighting in Elk Grove Village. They quoted me for a little over $1400 for a 24' x16" ivory drape behind the head table and 24 led uplights around the room.
