Bridesmaid Shoes

So I wasn't giving this much thought till my mom brought it up.
She said that the girls should have a semi-uniform look.
So she said white closed toe shoes.  The dresses are tea lenght and cornflower blue with a pale yellow sash. So my thoughts were actually open toed white shoes....

I mean the wedding is in May..

I don't think I reallly have a preference either way but was just curious as to your thoughts.

I would think a metallic of some sort would be better....not a fan of white shoes

I'm with brideinfall...I think white shoes look TOO white...a metallic would look nice.

I agree with metallic. I've heard that the bride is obligated to pay for the shoes if BMs are required to wear a specific pair, but I'm not sure how I feel about that. I agree that a uniform look is better.

I would have to agree with the above suggestions.  A metallic - that doesn't clash with jewelry.  (At least that's me - I wouldn't want silver shoes with gold necklaces...)

I asked my BMs to get silver shoes, but did not specify style.  Some may prefer closed toed, some sandals - but my dresses are long, so the shoes will be hard to see.
  • I'm doing the same color dresses! I'm thinking open toed silver or black shoes, or if you want something really fun - maybe yellow shoes to match the sashes.

I would either do dyeable shoes to match the blue or just tell them silver.  I would also specify open or closet toe and let them choose.  I think shoes are such a personal decision what is comfy or even tolerable for one person can be super uncomfortable for another.  I really don't think anyone looks that much at the BM's feet.  They will be too busy looking at how beautiful you look!

Yep, metallic would look cute, and I definitely think open toed would look better than closed, especially since the wedding's in may.  I would go with that over the dyeable ones because how many of your girls would ever wear blue or yellow heels again?
