Engagement session locations!

Hello all : )

Im going to be married in December, my man grew up and still lives in Chicago, and I will be moving in with him after we get married. SO EXCITED!

Anyways, I only lived in Chicago for one year..Im not too familar with the city at all, and i need help!

My wedding is garden themed, and will take place in Puerto Rico (where I currently live). Because we contracted a state-side photographer, my engagement session has to be in Chicago. We will take the pictures end of October which poses a problem.. Its fall then! xD Since gardens with nice blooms are out of the question, whats an indoor location good for a vintage, flowery themed session?? We dont have seasons here in PR, its spring all year around lol So id appreciate any suggestions!

Re: Engagement session locations!

  • The only place that is indoors that I could think of would be at Navy Pier in the greenhouse/garden area.  Hopefully other ladies on here have additional ideas for you.

I have to ask, why do your engagement photos have to be themed the same as your wedding?  I think fall engagement pictures are beautiful and there are plenty of great locations for that.

</div><div>I agree with PP. You could also have the Chicago Skyline in some of your pictures which would be lovely and since you are moving here soon you could hang a few in your house. It would be a great way to incorporate your new city into your wedding as well. :)</div><div>

  • Lily Ponds in Lincoln park if its nice outside.
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • Garfield Park Conservatory.  Indoors, incredible!

The neighborhood is sort of sketch, but don't let that deter you.
