I second that! Bought my dress at the Crystal Bride and absolutely loved them! They have a large variety of dresses and everyone was very nice and helpful. If you do go ask for Heather as your consultant--she was extremely patient, kind, and warm. Made the dress shopping experience everything I'd dreamed of. HTH!

I'm probably the only one who will say this, but I had a great experience at HOB in Schaumburg. I used Joanne K who was amazing. I didn't really deal with anyone else, so my review was based on working with one person.

Kathryn's Bridal in McHenry has awesome customer service, an incredible selection of dresses between $400 and $3500, and a seamstress that can do anything!

ETA: I have heard a lot of good things about Volle's in Lake Zurich.  I have no personal experience with it, but do know of others who have shopped there with good success.  I think their price point may start a little higher than Kathryn's.

Ok, so I have an appointment at Bella Bridals, St. Charles, because they carry a designer I like. Crystal Bride doesn't carry it, but based on your reviews I feel like I should make an appointment there anyways. I've heard so many good things!

So I went to kathryn's today an had a wonderful experience. I was the first apt of the day and from what I can tell, they only schedule one bride at a time. The inside of the store was beautiful and they had a good selection of samples. All the dresses were out so you could look around and browse to see what catches your eye. The dressing room was large and the sales lady, Amy, was super helpful. I ended up buying my dress from there today! I fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on :-). I definitely would recommend them.

I also went to Kathryn's and had Amy! Bought the first dress that caught my eye when I walked in. It wasn't the first I tried on. It was like the 7th but as soon as I saw it on a hanger, my jaw dropped and I fell in love. Walked away from it because it was a little over my budget but Amy informed me that the designer did some of the alterations for free so it would even out in the end! Meant to be??? I like to think so! My dress comes in next month so I can't wait for that!!!

You should definately look into these bridal shops. I went to Jenny Yoo, but my cousin and best friend went to Adore and Atha and we all found fabulous dresses and got great service. All good reviews from all three

I'm attending this event also!!! My cousin went this event last year for her wedding this past summer, and she said it was the best bridal show out there-nothing like it. Maybe we can meet up and talk wedding planning at the event! Are you planning on going at 4?

Sounds good to me! I'm so excited!  I should probably be there by four..I want to try and get there as soon as it starts just so that I have time to really go through everything and talk to the different vendors there.  Are you bringing anyone with you?  My sister is coming with me!
