Odyssey Country Club (Tinley Park) Brides

We went to our tasting last night and are not sure we want to select either of the two entrees that we sampled.  Does anyone have any recommendations of which entrees that they offer that people really liked?

I know it's "wedding food" but I have a hard time paying $70 a plate for something that I dont think is that great....

Hello!  I have never been to the Odyssey, so I'm sorry I can't help with the food selection.  I looked at the Odyssey when I first got engaged because the grounds look so beautiful, but I had to forget it because it wasn't in the budget.

You're right, for $70 a person, I think you have every right to expect good food.  I think that isn't right that most places require you book with them and put down a deposit before they will allow you a tasting.  I'm worried about how my tasting will go since I've never had my caterer's food.

I think that you should express to your venue that you weren't impressed with the food. Then ask for their recommendations of their best entrees, and ask for another tasting of those foods.  I think some of these nice places get complacent with food quality because they know they will get the business anyway, but it could help if you speak up.

Hope this helps.  Good luck with the rest of your planning!
