Asian hair and makeup artist - Help!

Hi,

I'm getting married in July 2010 in Rockford, IL.  Not being from the area, I'm doing most of my vendor searches online. It's surprisingly difficult to find an Asian hair and makeup artist.  I'm hoping that some of the local brides-to-be can help me out with recommendations.

Check out Sonia Roselli. She is pricey but worth every penny (and currently training her Next Gen girls - who are more affordable). She recently told me her client base is 60% asian women, so she has lots of experience.

Check out Mary of Beautiful Yu! She's a pretty well-known make-up artist among Asians in Chicago and her prices are great. I think she travels, though Rockford is a bit far out of Chicago.

I am getting my hair done at Park Jun Beauty Lab in Niles. They're also a well-known Korean beauty salon in Chicago. Again, that might be a big trek for you, but you could give them a try if you can't find anything in Rockford!

Hello.. I am also Asian and really.. its hard to get that certain look.. I will be meeting with someone and will do a test makeup on.. I got her info online as well.. I will update this post about my experience..
