Here are some pics from my shower!! excuse me for being such an AW but I am still feeling so loved and happy from my shower, I had to share some pics! I couldn't get them to upload from my macbook for some reason, so I am just swiping some that have been uploaded to facebook.

I posted about it yesterday too, but everything was purple and lovely and perfect.

Can I also brag that I finished my thank yous yesterday morning and they all went out in the mail today?!? I was SO thrilled to get them done so fast, even though my hand is still aching from all of the writing!

So cute! I love how your rehearsal bouquet turned out! Mine came out kind of boring since I mostly received gifts from my registry which all came with dark green ribbons b/c that's how Williams-Sonoma wraps things lol.

OMG you're good on the thank-you note! I've got 5 more to do and they will be in the mail either Tuesday or Wednesday. Our invites are going out as well in the next day or two and I kinda wanted the shower thank you note to arrive before the invite, but oh well if it doesn't. NDB I guess.

mbody that was my goal too - we will be (hopefully) mailing our invites next week (as long as I actually get my invites in the mail this week!) but I don't think its a big deal if it doesn't work out.

bmore it worked out perfectly for me because probably 1/3 of my gifts came off of our Sur La Table registry, and all of their gift boxes come with eggplant purple and ivory ribbons!! I couldn't have planned that better, haha!

Butterfly, you looked gorgeous! And I absolutely adore the theme of the shower. Your hostesses did so well! Sounds like so much fun. I can't wait for mine next month! And I think the dress looks fabulous on you. I need to return one of mine because it is too big.

bridetobe - thank you!!! what day is your shower again?? I forget  I STILL need to find a rehearsal dinner dress. which one do you have to return?? A new lace bebe one just came out that was in their new catalog that I was excited about - turns out it is ugly in person, so I am still searching. Fiance just wants me to order the peplum BCBG one, but I really wanted to try it on in person before buying it  

Carla - thank you! everyone kept telling me that they loved that I was wearing white. It made me stand out and look bride-like even at my shower!! So I would highly recommend it plus it made me look more tan than I normally do in real life!

oh, and for those asking about my hair trial - I have a bunch of pics on my computer at home that I will have to post. my girl was AWESOME - she spent about 45-50 minutes working on my actual trial, then after we took pics, she ripped it all out and started over so I could have a different look for my "shower hair" so no one would see the REAL wedding look in advance

Hmmmm I think my favorite is probably the Kitchenaid food processor. Fiance and I are total foodies and tons of stuff that we make requires a food processor, and the one that I have had for years was $30 from Target. It will be a huge upgrade once we start using it!! It was from my great-aunt and a few of my cousins pitched in with her to get it for me.

Also our Kitchenaid coffeemaker (it's soooooo amazing) and the Kitchenaid Blender. I KNOW I am not "supposed" to be using them....but both the blender and coffeemaker were from my parents so they said they didn't care if I busted them out

Butterfly - My shower isn't until June 9th! The dress I ordered was this BHLDN one that was adorable but it really just didn't fit right.

I personally don't really like any of the white Bebe dresses that they have right now (at least at the store in Indy - our store is kind of small)....they all look really cute online but not so much in person!! I just went to Bebe yesterday actually because I was so excited about the one-shoulder lace one from the catalog, which I hated in person. Obv I really like my shower dress but I got it a few months ago, and they are sold out of it now

Is yours the Maggie dress? Looks like they replenished the online stock of it. I would copy/paste but the link is like 50 lines long.

I may order that for the brunch but I swear if it doesn't fit THAT'S IT! Does it run TTS?

no mine is not the Maggie!! Mine was a different material and had some eyelet detail on it plus a soft sweetheart top. The Maggie looks like it has pockets too.

I find bebe to be on the form-fitting side, but typically true to size. I am a 36B - 27 waist - and I have a really big butt - and the size 8 in my dress fit perfectly.

UGH. How annoying. Yeah, I think the Maggie one does have pockets. I wonder if they'd stick out awkwardly. I really like bebe because they are cut smaller, but I worry about the bust to waist to hip ratio issue. I am pretty much 32-23-33, but I'm a 32C so I have issues. Anything that isn't cut small in the waist makes me look pregnant because my chest sticks out abnormally.

I HATE ONLINE SHOPPING!

Oh and this is totally unrelated but were you asking about the handkerchiefs I ordered? I can't recall who that was. The woman is replacing them and rushing them to me, free of charge. I'd recommend her now that she's being so accommodating - plus, she ships like next day and is super quick.

I have similar issues in that I have a massive ribcage. Sounds weird (not a typical complaint for girls to have hahaha) but it makes dress shopping REALLY hard. that's why I was shocked this dress fit both my massive ribcage and my (relatively) smaller waist well. I have a few satin bebe dresses that fit me really well - better than most other brands, actually.

I think if I were you I would want to try it on in person due to the pocket issue and potential chest issue. 

I am so glad the neon pink hankerchiefs are being replaced!!! I know you aren't so much a neon pink kind of a girl, so it's awesome that she is fixing them for you.

I am currently mad at Etsy in general because of my invitations.
