Essence Photography - Carlos Cruz

Hey knotties!

Has anyone ever used Carlos Cruz of Essence Photography?  My FI and I booked a different photographer with Essence over a year ago and we found out today that the photographer we originally booked is not going to be available for our wedding.  They suggested a few alternative and Carlos Cruz was one of them.  They included some demos for the different alternatives and Carlos' work seemed to be the best fit for what we want.  I can find a lot of online reviews for other Essence photographers but I can't find one for him.  Does anyone know anything about him and/or his work?

    Oh my gosh this same thing happened to us! Only it was about 1.5 years later, in spring of 2010! How did you end up liking Carlos? We had our wedding last weekend and were a little disappointed with him - he was very flustered & overwhelmed the whole time and I am not sure how well he took advantage of some great photo opportunities. But of course we won't see the proofs for a while yet so I am crossing my fingers!

    Carlos Cruz was also recommended to me. Did you ever use him -- what did you think of his work? If you didn't go with him, who did you decide to use, and were you happy with your choice?
