Very productive weekend!

We had a very productive weekend.  On Saturday my MOH and I went out dress shopping.  I FOUND MY DRESS!!!  I saw it in a magazine and thought I love that.  But thought to myself I am not a size 0 and tall this dress couldnt look good on me.  I was wrong, I put it on and LOVED it, instantly.  Very excited that on my first time out I found it! 

We also booked our venue DiNolfo's Banquets in Homer Glen for September 1, 2012.  The place is gorgeous and they have great packages we just could not pass up.  Then today I called and booked our photographer with Jolie Images out of Wheeling.  The reviews were amazing, the portfolios were gorgeous and everytime I called for questions before today they were very friendly. 

I am loving all this planning stuff!

Nice, we are using Jolie Images too! (on september 1st, 2012, also). We just took our engagement pictures yesterday and I can't wait!

Congrats!  That does sound really productive; it all starts to seem more real once you get the dress!

It feels so real after I found the dress.  What photographers are you girls using with Jolieimages?  We chose "RG".  We are doing our engagement photos within the next week or two, I am waiting for the leaves to change a little more.  I am very excited.  Was the time slot for the engagement session long enough?  It seems like a little amount of time to capture some good shots. How exciting ladies!

we are going with MP, his name is mike apparently. We did the 1 hour shoot in the forest preserve. i think the website says it is "right behind the studio" but it's actually about 2 miles away. i would have gotten lost if i did not grow up right here. (i lived between their studio and the forest preserve, so i know the area VERY well).

however, i LOVED the engagement session and our photographer. we had shania for the epictures. she knew all the right places and spots and how to pose us. it was a TON of fun. Our slot was 4-5, and I felt like the lighting was perfect. the sun was not really setting yet, but it was not straight above us, so i think we had some neat lighting angles going on. i too would have liked to wait another week or so but i just wasn't sure what the weather would be like.

yay!  I'm getting married on the same day as you, too!  I also just purchased my dress last week.  Our wedding day will be here before we know it!
