Flowers

I know a few people have posted on florists lately and Im trying to get a little more information.

My wedding is in November.  We are on a pretty tight budget, however we have NO clue what the price of flowers is going to be and where to even start.

We are in the SW burbs.  I know Ive heard a lot of good reviews on ZuZu's Petals and Cathrines Garden which are both in my area.

What sorta prices am I looking at?

What we are going to get are, my bouquet, 4 bouquets for my Bridesmaids,  Fiances boutonniere, and his 4 grooms men's.  We also want a corsage for my mom.  That might be it.  I want nice arrangements, but I cant afford to pay crazy money for them either.

The most expensive piece of my flower budget is my bouquet $95.  It has sunflowers, green hydrangea, lemon leaves, and lavender.

The bridesmaid bouquets are only $10 each!  They are three sunflowers wrapped with ribbon.

    My bouts are $5 each

The centerpieces are also pretty simple.  Tall vases with river rock at the bottom and 7 or 8 large sunflowers $45 each.

    Hope this helps.

It happens that these flowers are inexpensive and in season.  But whatever florist you go with will be able to tell you what can fit into your budget.

Go to Sid's or Saunoris.  Yes, the garden centers.

Little known fact:  They do wedding flowers...and they are beautiful and affordable!!

My cousin (on a super budget) went with Sid's on Southwest Highway in Palos Heights and they were great start to finish.  I forget exact prices, but remember being bewildered when we were talking about them with the consultant.  I was her MOH, and planned a lot of the wedding for her!

Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

We're buying our flowers from Costco.  I decided to put them together (you can order them online already arranged), but I think their roses instore are $14.99 for 2 dozen.  We decided to use our money on a premium bar and a late night snack (brought out at 10:45 PM) instead of flowers that are doing to die in 2 days.

Their 20-piece rose floral order is $349.99; they have plenty of other flowers also.
20 Piece Wedding Collection includes: 1 Bridal bouquet 2 Brides Maid bouquets 1 Toss Away bouquet 6 Corsages 6 Attendant boutonnieres 3 Centerpieces  (vases not included) 1 Rose Petal bud

We used Flowers and Stones in Beecher. The owner, Karen, is super creative and worked on our budget! Their contact info is in my bio.

I am using Catherine's Garden in Oak Forest and could not be happier.  We are getting my flowers, 8 bridesmaids, 13 boutonierres, 5 wrist corsages and 27 centerpieces for a little over 800 (original total was 1000 booked limo with absolute dream, 10% off, put 20% deposit down, another 10% off).  Now my flower is daisy but I've seen Julies work at friends weddings and the flowers are beautiful and has worked with budgets as little at 500.
