Columbus Brides Magazine

So I requested a Columbus Brides Magazine......and have been bombared with emails from advertisers! Ugh. It does specifically state that they give their information to advertisers, but still. I received 5 emails within 10 minutes of each other all from Columbus Brides Mag advertisers! I was more than a little frustrated.  I sent an email to the magazine and requested they pull my name immediately off the database.  Thank goodness I set up a wedding e-mail!!!

Just an FYI for anyone who may request a Columbus Brides Magazine.

Ugh, how annoying! I remember doing that too, and I got stuff mailed to me as well.  Unfortunately it can't help you now, but many vendors who advertise in the magazine have free copies at their businesses for prospective brides to take.  I have seen them in the past at Bent Tree Golf Club and Worthington Jewelers, and I am sure many others do as well.
For any newly engaged brides, it is a GREAT idea to set up a wedding email... you get so many solicitations from vendors, and your email gets on many lists, it is much easier to handle all the junk when it is not on your personal email.  It is probably the biggest tip I have for planning.

I remember that, too. I hated it. And it takes FOREVER to receive the magazine. I finally called and e-mailed them to tell them to take me off of their mailing list. I think they told me that when I requested the magazine I somehow agreed to them sharing my info. Apparently that was a reading fail on my part.

Your best bet is to go pick it up somewhere. I got mine at Alan Ray Bridal for free.

Yeah I signed up and i never got the magazine.  I did end up with 3 free copies from other places (bridal show, Wendy's Bridal etc)  I did get a lot of junk mail for a while.

At first I was actually mad about the junk mail but some of it was useful, I thought. it gave me ideas of vendors to look at.

Yeah you have to almost expect that stuff to happen now-a-days. Not just with the CB&G magazine.

Thats why I NEVER give out my real info to almost anyone!  I never text some numbers to someplace, never fill out a warranty info etc.....  Its going to end up in spam in your email / phone.
