Oak Brook Double Tree Bridal Show

Today I received a call from "Danielle" saying that my name had been entered at a drawing at the Oak Brook Double Tree Bridal Show for a 3 day 2 night stay in Vegas with roundtrip airfare. Has anyone else gotten any calls like this or went to the bridal show?

Yes, my Mom and I (we are both engaged) both  received this call after attending the show last October.  I never met with them, but she did.  She said it is legit but it's a vacation timeshare type thing that you need to sit thru as well.  Never-the-less she does have a free vaca.

Yep, I got the same phone call BOTH times after attending the Bridal Expo show at Georgio's in Orland.  They called me last week to tell me I had won and then I told them at the time I wasnt interested.  They followed up with a phone call to me last night and I still told them no and to stop calling -- and then she said "the next bride thanks you..." and hung up on me, lol!

It is a time share company -- I can't remember the name exactly, I think its Global Vacations or something?  Google them, do some research.  The info that I found was basically where they want you to pay $X,XXX amount for vacations to their resorts wordwide and all you would be responsible for is the taxes.  I've read more negative than positive experiences with their company, but believe me -- they give you the full shakedown to try and get you to commit to their "deal" if you go in to see them.

If its too good to be true, it probably is.

I got a call from them as well. I intended to go out of curiousity but my fiance did some research and had a feeling it was a scam. We turned around and went home! lol!

I received an email a couple of days ago to say that I will get a complimentary stay at the hotel to use within a year just for taking the tour and seeing what they have to offer for weddings and receptions.  I'm going next Saturday.  No vacation call though.

Just when I replied saying that no one called me....I got the call from Danielle 10 minutes ago.  I think it is just a timeshare presentation so I may go and check it out.  As long as they don't have any financial information it should be harmless.

I got it too and it is a scam.  They just want to sell you a timeshare.  Check out the complain on here  http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/global-vacation-network-c237159.html.  They said the same stuff to me verbatim.  I am actually thinking of complaining to the Bridal Expo people.  That is not the kind of thing we want when we go to expos.
