Help! Last minute alterations

I just picked up my dress a couple days ago and I lost weight in between the initial fitting and pick up. The tailor sewed padded cups into the top to fill it out and said the fit in the waist was fine when I said it was loose. Well, it really isn't fine. The inside of the dress measures three inches bigger than my actual waist. I'm frustrated and want the dress taken it, but I have barely any time to find a new tailor and get it done. Any recommendations on reputable, reliable Chicago-area tailors that will take a short-notice job (and with any luck not charge me an arm and a leg?)

Hey!  What ever happened?  Did you find someone to alter last minute?  I am finding myself in a little similar situation.  I will pick up my dress tomorrow, but I'm afraid they didn't do the alterations very well and it's not tight enough in the bust and had to put in padded cups as well but the dress is backless and the top doesn't fit tight enough to my body.  I think I need to go to a different seamstress that knows better how to make it fit.  Where did you go and were you happy?<div>Warmly,</div><div>Rebecca</div>
