Where to get tuxedos?

Hi ladies!

I am looking for an inexpensive place to get tuxedos for the grooom/groomsmen in my wedding.  Preferrably, in the western suburbs, as most of my party is located in Downers Grove/Darien/Woodridge.  And what should I budget for?

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

We got our tuxes at Black Tie Formalwear we basically got one of the standard tuxes and they are $135 each but we also get 2 free tuxes.

Ditto on Black Tie Formalwear. We received 3 free tuxedos (1 for FI, 1 for the father of the RB, and the 3rd one we had them split up amongst the rest of the guys so it brought their cost down more). All in all, it was $125 for a very sharp looking Calvin Klein tux that I'm thrilled with, and $75 for the RB.

I would say avoid Men's Wearhouse - the same exact tux was $40 more, plus they gave only 2 free tuxes, and the RBs tux was $165 (for a friggin 5 year old!!). We had our contract there before I received an email from BTFW, so we approached MW and told them we'd have to cancel if they couldn't match the deal we'd get at BTFW. They couldn't, so we cancelled.

I've also heard good things about Formally Modern Tuxedos.

I'm saving these recommendations! When do you suggest putting an order in for tuxes? Can vendors "run out" on a certain date?

    I also recommend Black Tie.

We went in late November for our April 16th wedding...  So I think 4-5 months out would be good!  Everyone has to be fitted by March 15th, so that gives them some time.

    GL!
