Has anyone had or been to a wedding at Chateau Bu-sche in Alsip?  If so can you please let me know your opinion of the facility for both the ceremony and reception. There are somethings im second guessing about the place..Thanks

I went here while I was venue shopping, I felt it was pretty expensive for what they were actually providing. My florist also said they are really strict about time and are not flexible at all with letting vendors come early to set-up, etc. It's a beaaautiful outside but the inside is not that spectacular, IMO.

I agree with PP. The inside is typical banquet hall but has some smaller rooms. I have also heard some negative reviews about the food. We looked here but ended up not going with them due to food reviews and space.

They were the rudest venue I looked at, and the outside area is an eyesore in my opinion.

    1. if you opt to do a dry wedding or wine and beer only reception they don't adjust the price for you: you pay for open liquor whether or not you use it

    2.  if your ceremony starts at 4 pm and runs for an hour, the earliest they'll serve you dinner is 7:30 pm (not good fo elderly, diabetics, and kids)

    3.  if there are multiple receptions going on in at the same time, they will NOT ask a rude neighboring party to keep control of their guests or turn their music down - your wedding will get ruined b/c they won't step in and intervene

    4.  they are very shady about a shooting that happened there a few years back (the drama was because of something w/in the wedding party, not a random act).  if you ask them about security they respond with "why are you asking?"

they were very catty to me on the second visit; the first time they pour on the wow factor.

we opted for Georgios in Orland Park - amazing to work with (Patricia in particular) and very flexible.

    stay away from bu-sche

I second the PP about Georgio's! We are getting married there in November, and nothing but good things to say about them so far! :)

    dtarkow:

Were you able to sample your menu before you chose it?  We were talking with Patricia and she said we could do a tasting when there was another party with the same entree.  my fiance called today to see if they had any for this weekend and Valerie said they don't do tastings.  What's been your experience.  So far that's the only thing that's been off about Georgios for us

Hmm... we did do a tasting. It was not while another party was there. They had us in the lobby area just the two of us, and they brought out our menu for us. This was earlier this year, but as of then Valerie told us they do it once a month maybe?
