Ceremony/Reception

Hi guys. I am on a VERY cheap budget. 

The goal is to get married before my mom passes away with cancer. 

I need to find a place for a ceremony and reception in the West suburbs of chicago. Or any suburbs would be decent. I live near Bolingbrook/Woodridge/Darien.

How many people are you looking to have?  My shower was at Maggiano's in Naperville and the room next to mine had a wedding going on.  They were absolutely fantastic to deal with and it was an incredible deal.  I think it was like $30 a person and for that we got 2 salads, 2 appetizers, 2 pastas, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts served family style and we got to take our leftovers home.  NA beverages and a yummy champagne punch were also included with that.  HTH!!

We are looking at 50-75 people, so it's pretty small. $30 per person? How much is the rental of the space? Do you know?

Have you looked at Francesca's at the Promenade?
Our shower was held there about a year and a half ago, and we had around 80 people. Great food, great service.  They have a party planner, and she was wonderful to us.  The whole experience was wonderful.
We used the entire restaurant, but they also had a party room for a smaller group.

You don't have to pay anything to rent the space at Maggiano's.  They have private banquet rooms that are set aside just for this occasion.  You should look into it!

I am having an even smaller wedding and reception.  Ours will be at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, IL.  It is reseasonably priced and they are great to work with.
