We got our first wedding gift in the mail (possibly a shower gift, but totally doubt it). It was from my aunt and uncle.
They sent us TWO of this:
We couldn't believe it. They are about $120 each and then the cost of shipping. I didn't think that anyone would get us something like that much less two of them.
It just touches my heart- they live in Arizona and we've never been close. They never learned how to sign. We probably never had a regular conversation once in my entire life. Both of them have cancer- my uncle has a stage 4 kidney cancer and my aunt has some kind of blood cancer (can't remember what kind). They didn't think the uncle would have made it to his own daughter's wedding a year ago. They both are still alive and planning on coming to our wedding.
I think this is the nicest gift ever, mainly because they really didn't need to do this! I'm just not used to getting nice gifts especially from people who I don't really know.
