Wedding Venues for a Travel-Themed Wedding

My Fi and I both love traveling and taking random trips together. We've also been long-distance for the past year, so traveling (specifically through airports) has also been a huge part of our relationship. We'd love to incorporate this into our wedding and we have ideas for decor and invitations to tie it all together, but we're really struggling with a venue.

We want some place that ties in with our theme or has neutral design elements (ie. no Italian restaurants, libraries, gardens, etc) and can accomodate 30-50 people without being too large. We also have a tight budget. Our entire budget for our wedding is about $3,500 from ourselves and $1,000 from my parents.

Does anyone know of any places that could possibly fit our budget, guest list, and style?

P.S. We're located in Naperville, IL but are willing to travel up to an hour for the wedding.

How about Wheeling?  There are two restaurants:

94th Aero Squadron Restaurant.....they do list "banquets" on their website....

The other, also in Wheeling.....is Hangar 21 Restaurant-----I had a hard time finding a website that would pop up on my PC...

They are both located near Chicago Executive Airport (formerly known as Palwaukee to us "locals").....

ha!  i didn't know they renamed palwaukee!  i grew up in arlington heights.

i think the 94th aero squadron is a great suggestion!

i know there's a small airport in st. charles, right behind pheasant run, and the prairie landing golf course is right near there.  we had my sister's baby shower at prairie landing and it was really nice!

PP, I think the airport you're thinking of is the DuPage Airport. I could be wrong though. Thanks so much for the suggestions ladies! I'll definitely be looking into them.
