MAC vs Chanel Foundation

I've been very happy with my MAC foundation that I got a month ago, with the intentions of using it on my wedding day.  This past weekend my friend got married, and she arranged for us to have our makeup done at Clinique. I actually had my makeup done at the Chanel counter right next to Clinique (so we could get done at the same time and have fun chatting).   We obviously haven't seen professional pics yet, so I can't tell how the Chanel foundation turned out, but the lady gave me two little samples of it in case I decided I liked it that day and wanted to use it for my wedding.

So-now my question is...has anyone either had their makeup done at MAC or Chanel for the wedding, OR did their makeup themselves using a MAC or Chanel foundation, and how do you feel it turned out in your pictures?

Thanks!
Val

I used MAC foundation, primer, and powder for my wedding and it looks stellar in the pictures! I can't use Chanel, but one suggestion I'd make is to make sure that there's NO SPF in your foundation, as it can make you look washed out in pictures. It reflects the flash and makes the face white.

Which of the MAC foundations did you use?  It seems they all have an SPF 15 in it. :(

    I used this: http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT158&PRODUCT_ID=393

It's the Face and Body foundation, designed for photography. I also got the Prep + Prime skin primer, and the blot powder (which breaks really easily, but is fantastic!)

I used Chanel Pro Lumiere for my wedding and it was phenomenal. I got married in August and I was really concerned about sweating off my makeup, but everything stayed in place. All I had to do was touch up my lip gloss. There are some pics in my married bio, as well as on my photographer's blog:

    Hi,

I'm an actress/model in Los Angeles and just from working with a lot of different make-up artists over the years in shoots, I can tell you from experience that almost all of them use mac make-up. Its made to be used for photography and film. I've learned that other foundations can do weird things to your photos..so I would definitely suggest going with what you know is for certain versus taking a risk with something new. Good Luck!
