Officiant recommendations please

We lost our officiant, please offer your recommendations for a non denominational rev/pastor that you recommend. I'm a bit stressed so any help is appreciated. Chicago area. Thanks!

If you're in a pinch and comfortable with this option, most Chicagoland counties will recognize on-line ordained ministers (such as ulc.net) so that you can ask a friend or relative.

I know not everyone is comfortable with that, but DH and I enjoyed writing our own ceremony and our friend did such a fantastic job. :)

Rev-on-the-run is always a popular choice here too, and I'm sure other girls will have good recommendations for you.

    Good luck!

I'm seriously considering it. Paying over $500 for 20 minutes is really blowing my mind. Thanks for the suggestion.

Rev. Bob from Hearts and Hands Wedding Officiants is awesome.  Super sweet guy!

Is there someone at rev on run you recommend? I spoke to a Margo, she seems nice but want to hear of any one else who may have booked her or her colleagues?

    You can try www.clergyforweddings.com

I am not using them, so I don't have feedback for you, but they seem not as pricey as some of the revs for hire.

We are using Rev. Tom Perrucci.  He's pretty great and really affordable.  He met with us for over an hour to go over ceremony options, our likes/dislikes and was pretty thorough.  Good luck!

We're using Rev Anne (http://www.revforwhatev.com). She's VERY reasonably priced, & allowed us to customize our ceremony to our wishes.  We'll get to meet her in September (we live in California), but we've had a Skype conversation with her already, & love her.

    Good luck!

I used Clergy for weddings, and they were phenomenal.

I have reviewed them as well.  They were very reasonable, on-time and super supportive.

I hope all goes well for you.

Just an FYI, If you are going to book Tom pay your deposit, even if he tells you you have plenty of time to book. He told us this and then booked someone else without a courtesy call or anything. Then simply said oh I am sure you'll find someone else. He is the reason for this post.

We booked rev on the run for our November wedding. Since the wedding hasn't happened yet, I can't give you a review on their ceremony. HOwever, they seem really nice and I like how you can completely customize the ceremony. They are also very reasonably priced. We are using Larry Mandel.

I'm using Margo from Rev on the Run!  She seemed so friendly and personable - just a wonderful lady that made me very comfortable talking to a stranger.  When we get closer to our date she's going ot meet up with us for a coffee chat :)  I am really excited for her to perform our ceremony.  And yes, they totally personalize it.

Bottom line, the prices are pretty high for 20 minutes, yes.  But she is $325 and really nice.
