Hair - Jennifer King – A+
I had Jennifer come to the hotel where all the ladies were getting ready. She did a terrific job with everyone and was really fast! Everyone looked great and I loved my hair! She made sure that everyone was happy with everything before she was done.
Makeup – Alison Feamster – A+
Alison is so sweet! I had her do the airbrush makeup which was perfect. It was so light and she didn’t put too much on so I still felt like myself. The makeup stayed put and she gave me some lip gloss to take with me for the day.
Odyssey Premier Limousine – B+
She showed up on time which was great! However, it happened to be a 90 degree day and the limo was about 85 inside. The air conditioning was not working well so we were sweating before we even got to the church. Thank goodness we didn’t get dressed before we left. After the ceremony, the air was working better because we told her just drive around which apparently helped to cool it off. I think she took the longest route possible to get to the reception so I had to calm H down on the way. However, I do have to give her props for driving through the hail storm we went through on the way to the reception. Four lanes of traffic were stopped on the highway. Luckily the rain for the day was limited to the time we were in the limo so we still got a few outdoor shots once we made it there.
Alan Ray Bridal – Dress and alterations – A+
This was the 3rd and last store I visited and decided to go at the last minute because my mom was in town. I fell in love with a dress that the girl helping picked out. It was the opposite of everything I was looking for but it was just perfect. I surprised my friends too! Alan did the alterations. He did a wonderful job and wow was he fast! My dress came in about a month before the wedding and I had 3 fittings which were all a week apart. I couldn’t believe the work he could get done in that amount of time!
Alfred Angelo - Bridesmaid Dresses – A for dresses, C for service
This was the 4th store that I took one of BMs to over a weekend. This is where I finally found the perfect color of teal for the dresses. I had a 5’11, 4’10 and a junior bridesmaid so I had to make sure I could find something that would work for everyone. I found a dress here that really worked for everyone and they looked gorgeous. The girls at this store really didn’t seem to know what they were doing though. I picked out the dresses and helped the girls into them while the lady who was supposed to be helping just stood there. They also lost one girl’s measurements. I placed the order for all at once so that they would come in together. However they came in one at a time and called me per dress with a limit of 1 week to come pick them up. The first time I went I thought they said all were there and when I showed only 1 was in. I told them to just let me know when they were all in so I could make less trips across town. Overall the dresses were beautiful just prepare yourself for the service!
Red Eye Photo Booth – A+
This was a big hit at the reception! It was one of the items we splurged on for the day so I am thrilled I made room in the budget. We got all photos back fairly quick and laughed all morning when we saw them. Our friends definitely had a good time in there!
