Modern wedding venues downtown?

Hi ladies. My fiance and I are looking for a modern style venue to host our Sept. 2011 reception at. We've looked at places like the Chicago Illuminating Center, but I'm having a hard time finding other options to match our style. We've only been here a year, so I'm not sure where to look! Any suggestions? Thanks so much

Prairie Productions and the MCA are very modern, as is the City of Chicago space, I forget what it's called but it used to be the site of Miegs Field. Atrium Events is modern but more whimsical. Are you looking for raw/exposed brick places as well? If so, MCA Loft, Salvage One, Envent, Zhou B, and Loft on Lake to name a few. The Wit is a more modern hotel setting.

Our wedding was at Prairie Production and we were really happy with the venue and the venue owners, Michael and Kristin Roberts.

When we were shopping around, we also looked at Architectural Artifacts, West Grand Studios, and West Loop Studios. Another venue to consider is the Ravenswood Billboard Factory. Good luck!
