They charge based on the time of day/year.  If you get the trolleys later in the day, or in the winter, they will give you a break on the cost.  We used Chicago Trolley but we're using it from 4-6 just for pictures around the city/not as a full day transportation.  It was in the $600 range.  Seems like when you mention the word "wedding" things cost more!!  The summer is their "high season" in more ways than one!

Their number is (773) 648-5000.  I talked to the guy for a long time and eventually got him to knock down the minimum hour requirement.  It helps if your event is later in the day.

    Hope this helps!

I researched trolleys at first and found them to be very expensive, and the only inexpensive ones did not have air conditioning which is ridiculous if you are having a summer wedding. Also, I didn't know how well they would do on the highway, so we nixed the idea. I found that they cost $350-$500 an hour, possibly a little less if you are using them for 5+ hours.

We're doing ours at the end of August and have given care to the wind about the no A/C thing.  My biggest concern is the weather - so if we get pictures, they are all going to be from the trolley if it rains.

Flying Lady Livery was our second choice, it was a beautiful white trolley with a big sofa in the back and air conditioning, our quote for our Sunday wedding came in around $900.

We ended up going with JoJo's Trolley (run by Hotel Baker) which is $400 for the first two hours then $150 for each subsequent hour, but it only runs in Kane County. It's not quite as nice and comes with no airconditioning, but when a pregnant bridesmaid said even she was fine with it the rest of us decided we could tough it out too.

You should make sure your guys all get an extra shirt if your trolley doesn't have air conditioning.....
