Country Club in the Burbs

Looking for a country club somewhere in the northwest suburbs that will do both reception and ceremony for a decent price. Anyone have any ideas and recommendations?

Not sure about the pricing, but our friend's just got married at Kemper Lakes Country Club. They had their ceremony outside overlooking a lake/pond and the reception was inside. It was really pretty.  The food wasn't anything to write home about though....

I would recommend The Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove.  The staff is great to work with, their prices are reasonable (as all things suburban go), and they will work with you to ensure a flawless day!  The food was fantastic.

Other places we considered that you may like are The Makray Country Club in Barrington, Independance Grove in Libertyville, or The Concorde in Lake Zurich.

We are getting married at Old Orchard Country Club in Mt. Prospect. So far they have been really easy to work with. It's also really affordable and you get a lot for your money. They are def worth checking out.

We looked at Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora and White Eagle Country Club in Naperville. I also know Eaglebrook Country Club in Geneva is ince. All were pretty similar in pricing, Stonebridge is very decently priced and has a beautiful outside area for the ceremony or cocktail hour. You don't have to be a member at any of the places to have a wedding there. Good luck!

Check out Bartlett Hills Golf Club in Bartlett.  They have a veranda for ceremonies and the room is very pretty.  They are very reasonable and include a lot in their package.

Itasca Country Club. I had my first wedding reception there and they were really wonderful! They also do ceremonies. They provide EVERYTHING too, which was nice since my wedding was a destination one. Chair linens, centerpieces, everything! And for a very respectable price.

I know it isn't the direction you want to go but on the southside there is Hickory Hills Country Club/Chateu DelMar.  On the outisde it is meh at best.  Once inside, there is an amazing room for 300+ with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows.  The view is of the plush green golf course.  Amazing.  We walked in and it just took my breath away.  We really considered compromising but we just didn't want that big of a wedding.

I want to say the PP was around $60 but I think it was less.  Very affordable.

We're also having our wedding reception at Old Orchard Country Club in Mt. Prospect. It's not until next September 2012 but Lisa has been great to work with so far. The cost per person can be as low as $55 for a chicken entree, open bar included. The best part (for me at least) is that it's only 1 wedding per night. The grounds are beautiful as well, another reason why we booked with them for our Fall wedding. Definitely worth checking out!

Thanks ladies I really appreciate all the ideas, it's so much to think about I just wish money wasn't an issue we are already saving but it seems like we will never have enough to afford a decent wedding.

Ok so the Makray...waaaaaaaaay overpriced and the "planner/coordinator" is extremely rude. They're not flexible at all!

The arboretum in BG...nice but unless your ceremony can be outside, not worth it

Concorde in LZ...very nice. multiple wedding site.

I am using Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling
and a friend of mine is using Bull Valley Country Club
