Photographers...

My finacee and I have been sorta behind in our planning...(our wedding is November 12th of this year).  We have booked quite a few things but next on our list is Photographers.

We have a pretty tight budget.  We are looking for 8-10hrs of coverage and digital rights to all of our pics on a DVD.  We are not looking to spend any more then 1100-ish.

We have meetings with the following photographers:

Heather Roose out of Romeoville
Tim from Chicago Phos...and
George Street

We like a more photojouralistic style.

Has anyone had any experience with any of these 3?  Any other suggestions that fit in my budget and what Im looking for?

I am using George Street for my wedding on July 24th.  They let you see the portfolio's of different photographers.  If you see a style you like, you can choose that photographer.  They are also very friendly and not "pushy"  like other places were.

I booked George Street last month.   We were really torn between George Street and Paul Swanson Photo & Video but Paul's album prices were higher than George Street's album prices.  We weren't sure if we were going to order an album through the photographer or make one on our own so we opted to go through George Street just encase we wanted to order an album.

You can get an Album within your budget.  She was amazing at our wedding.

I posted this same question a few weeks ago (it's titles something like Help, we need a wedding photographer...) and got a ton of responses!  If/when I find my thread, I'll try to link it to yours so you can see but I went through & researched every response given and we pretty much narrowed it down to George Street.

We went with Modern Images for our May wedding and paid 12k for 10 hrs and an album. We used Bryan K and really liked them. They do photojounalist style and give you the digital rights to your photography afterwards, so you don't have to pay $$$ for prints.

I have quotes coming in from George Street,  Allie Osmar and Lilly Photography....the others all seemed a little bit out of my price range from the info I found on their websites.

I think I chipped in on the last thread about this, but definitely check out James Currie. His website is http://www.jamescurriephotography.com/.

He recently did an anniversary shoot for my husband and I and we were thrilled with the results! (You can see them on his blog - we're the Northwestern couple)

He's a bit newer to the wedding scene than some other photographers but in my opinion, he should not be overlooked!
