Dress  and Veils- Gabrielle's European Bridal in Westerville
My dress was a sample that was on sale for half price.  It was about 2 sizes too big with lots of differnent layers, and Gabrielle did an impeccable job with the alterations.  Gabrielle and her assistant, Pamela, really care about all of their brides.  Gabrielle likes to help you put together your entire look (jewelry, shoes, veil, etc..).  I actually purchased two custom veils from her (hey, I did get my dress half off!).  One that was cathedral length and one that was fingertip (for the reception).  Both were perfect.  I will say that she can be a little opinionated sometimes, so be prepared for honest advice.  I appreciated it though. :-)  She carries very reasonably priced gowns too.

Cake - Anita Kline
What can I say that hasn't already been said on this board?  Anita makes delicious, beautiful cakes for much less than the other bakeries in town.  Our 5-tier cake was perfect.  And she was probably the only place in town that I could have afforded 5 tiers instead of having to do a combo of 2-3 tiers and sheet cake.  Thank you, Anita!

Classic Car Rental - Cardinal Transportation
We rented the 1950 black cadillac, and am very happy we did.  It was great in pictures, and it was so fun to be whisked away just the two of us.  I was worried it would be too hot w/o air conditioning, but it was fine with a breeze and the windows down.  Our driver was really great too.  He drove the car around in circles in the parking lot during the ceremony to make sure the car wouldn't overheat!

Hotel - Renaissance by Marriott
We bid for a hotel block through the Experience Columbus service and went with the Renaissance for price, location, and guest reviews (on tripadvisor.com).  My husband and I stayed there, and Michelle, our coordinator, gave us a great deal on a jr. suite.  The hotel is very cool and everything went great.  Michelle even gave us a cell phone number to call in case we needed anything.  They also had chocolate covered strawberries waiting in our room for us!

Tuxedos - OP Gallo
Great service! We had several out of town groomsmen and even though the only OP Gallo location is in Columbus, the groomsmen had no trouble working with them.  I also know that awhile back there was a discussion on choosing white vs. ivory shirts if your dress is ivory.  It sounded like Men's Warehouse's ivory is too yellow and could look dirty instead of ivory.  I had picked ivory from OP G and was worried that it would look bad, so I went in a week before to look again.  The ivory looked great (it's a very subtle ivory), and the staff was very nice and even said I could call later to change our entire order if I decided too.  I thought that was very accomodating of them.  So if your dress is ivory, you may want to check OP Gallo out for tuxes.

Video - Blue Skies Video
Haven't gotten the final product back, but Julie and Chris were a pleasure to work with.  Julie was great at directing me and my husband on what to do to get good video clips.  Can't wait to see our video!

Thanks for the kind words, knotties!  I had a lot of help from some great vendors. :)

Yes, we did do a "first look."  I really enjoyed it, and I think it helpd me destress and enjoy the day more!  I definitely feel like I still had the special moment of going down the aisle too.  I started to cry a little, and did cry more during the ceremony and I'm not a very emotional person.  I think you can't go wrong with either option!

I thought I had posted this earlier, but it must not have gone through.. do you mind sharing what the price ranges are for Blue Skies? I'm starting to re-think having a videographer, but I'm hesitant at the cost. I think we'd just a basic package of around 8 hours with one videographer- any ideas on what this would run with them? Thanks in advance!

My MIL paid for the videographer.  I can't remember entirely, but I feel like our package was around $2,400 or so.  I think there are several videographers at more economical prices if BS is not in your price range.  I didn't care about having a videographer in the beginning, but I think it will be nice to have all of our family, esp. grandparents, on video.
