engagement party question

Hi Ladies, My parents/sister (MOH) are throwing us an engagement party. I am inviting all my bridesmaids (5 of them), and all of them have boyfriends. Most of my bridesmaids know eachother, but their boyfriends probably won't know anyone. Is it proper etiquette to allow the BM to bring boyfriends?

    I would definitely invite them. I go to stuff all the time where my FI is the only one who knows people, I don't think that's a factor. If they're so uncomfortable with the idea then the girlfriends can still come by themselves.

    It is always proper etiquette to invite significant others to any social event (unless it is specifically women or men only, of course!).

    Let the girls decide if they want to bring the bf's. I guarantee they will think it is rude if you don't at least give them the option.
