O'Hare area reception

I am just starting to look at receptions venues and was wondering if anyone has recommendations/reviews of hotel venues in the O'Hare/Rosemont area. Any info would be great! Thanks!

Victoria Rosemont is in a hotel. I've been to a wedding there and it was really nice. Food was excellent and the room is really nice. We booked with Fountain Blue right by the Allstate Arena....they aren't exactly in a hotel like you mentioned bu there's one right across the parking lot so it's still super convenient. It has been great working with them so far...the people are friendly, quick to respond to e-mails/calls, and the food tasting was awesome! GL!

We looked at the Doubletree in Rosemont and it was just okay. The room was sort of dark and drab.

How many guests will you be having?  That makes a lot of difference in terms of venues that will be appropriate.  Also, are you having an adult only reception or are you looking for family-friendly?

Thanks! Victoria is on my list to check out - I'll add Fountain Blue! Thanks for the feedback on Doubletree - I'd love to get a room with windows or outdoor space though know that might be difficult - definitely not looking for dark and drab!

We will probably be around 150 guests and will have adults and kids.

Fountain Blue is gorgeous! But also a bit pricey. But if thats something that you can do, i would definetly suggest fountain blue. Another place i would suggest is The avalon in Elk Grove village. If you have a budget they are willing to work with you on it, and they are already very reasonably priced. Good Luck!

Fountain Blue does have an outdoor space...they have a gorgeous tent and then a little garden/gazebo area that you can use if you book their tent. The tent is definitely pricey but something to look into if it's in your budget. We would have for sure booked the tent but chose one of the indoor spaces since those prices are more reasonable.

My BFF got married at Cafe La Cafe and it is BEAUTIFUL and the phone was fantastic.  Not in a hotel, but since you are by O'Hare, most of the hotels offer shuttles.  She did her hotel block at Aloft in Rosemont and they had two or three shuttles than came to fetch us.  There are tons of windows in CLC!

Did you try Mirage in Schiller Park that is not far from O'Hare and it is attached to a hotel

You never mentioned your price range.  It can range from low (Mirage, Allegra, Victoria's) to high (Doubletree, Hilton, Crown Plaza, Intercontinental).  There are a bunch of them right along River Road near the Akoo Theater and the Rosemont Convention Center.
