Illinois-ohare area

Hey everyone,

I just started planning my wedding, and I'm trying to find out if anyone was able to find any decently priced venues around the ohare area/suburbs? I'm trying to figure out a way to not spend a lot of money on my venue and the food. Any one have any ideas on venue and food that won't be pricey?  We will have about 250 people or less. We just want to find a place with will be willing to be flexible as far as money. We dont want to have to spend more then a few thousand on the food and venue, we are trying not to spend so much. Any suggestions?

Fountain Blue in Des Plaines. It's a great venue! Very close to O'Hare/Rosemont.

I second Fountain Blue! Our wedding is there in Dec. and we couldn't be happier so far!

I actually heard good things about Fountain Blue, until I went there.  I might have caught her on a bad day, but she was very inflexible (you pick package A or ..

I didn't end up going with Victoria's Banquets..( my mom overruled me on location) but they were by far the easiest, friendliest and most flexible people to work with on a budget. You tell her what you can afford and they figure something out.  Other top picks were the Sheraton Suites in Elk Grove Village, and our choice..Meridian Banquets in Rolling Meadows.  Good luck!

You can also try Pescatorie Palace, Cafe La Cave, any of the hotels in the Rosemont area.  I visited Fountain Blue on my quest for venues... I wasn't really impressed, but I was looking more for an Italian venue. Casa Royale is decent too in Des Plaines.
