BRIDESMAID DRESS OPTIONS

Hi,

I have been going back and forth regarding the two dresses below.  Both come with straps that can be sewn on if the girls want.  It seems to be a tie with regarding which ones they like better.  The first one I'm thinking almost looks like something a kid in high school would wear to a homecoming dress.  It doesn't look as dressy in person.  Plus, I've been to davids bridal three times and had bad experiences all three times (2 times had an appointment and one time did not have an appointment).  So I'm relucatnat to give them my business.

This would be in purple with black belt.

or

This one would be the flower colors but with a purple belt to bring out the purple in dress.  It looks a little dressier than the picture.  The sweethear neckline is the favorite thing about the dress.  We thought about doing a plain color but it is too blahh.  This is something different and that is why it is liked.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I think the second dress would be more flattering to a more body types than the first dress.  I've had bad experiences at David's Bridal as a bridesmaid, so that would also be a strike against the first dress for me.

I like both dresses, but I think your BM might get another use out of the second one, which is always a plus for them.
