TRANSPORTATION

Hi Girls,

What kinds of transportation are you doing for your wedding:  a limo bus, trolley or a classic car?  Which company are you going with?

If you are doing a limo bus, what is included in your package?  How do the charges work?  Only one company has called me back...they had an okay rate but  the fee starts when they leave their office with the transportation and ends when the vehicle is back at their office.  I don't know if that is standard.

If you are going with a classic car, are you providing transportation for the rest of your bridal party?

Thanks.

Kate

I'll be honest: my bridal party and I are staying overnight at the hotel the night before and we are going to take the hotel shuttle for free to the wedding (same site for ceremony and reception). It just did not seem to be worth the money to spend all that money for a 10 minute car ride in a limo.

Our ceremony and reception are in the hotel that the BP is staying in so the only transportation I may set up would be for the BP to run around and get pictures taken.

We rented a trolley for our bridal party.

We went with the Trolley Iowa,

We used Absolute Dreams limo...we had an H2 hummer.  For four hours it was $900.00 including gratuity.  We had 2 bottles of champagne and beer included inthe limo.  The service was excellent especially considering the issues with the flooding around Brookfield Zoo that we had to navigate through.  Our driver was curteous and very nice.  He even brought a cooler of H2O into the church for us while we were taking pics!

The guys were picked up first (about 10 minutes away from church and then the girls were picked at my parent's house (about 1 minute from church).  The entire bridal party and the ushers (including my 2 jr bridesmaids, flowergirl, ring bearer and two dates) rode with us to the reception.  It was AWESOME

We used the same company as PenelopeSnuz and used Trolley 702.  They had a required 4 hours - which we needed anyways, and it started from 2 (when we asked them to be at the Church) til 6 p.m. (to bring us back to the reception).  I highly recommend!

I would suggest you NOT use Ace Limo.  I was at a wedding a couple of weeks ago and they were a no show/extremely late for the groom's party; they allegedly showed up 45 minutes late, but the guys ended up jumping in 3 cabs for a total of over $100.  I understand there are billing issues still not resolved.
