Affordable Vintage-y Wedding In the Suburbs

I have been looking for a venue for about a month and I am starting to get really overwhelmed.  I am trying to find a more vintage-y location in the suburbs that is not too over priced to hold the ceremony and reception. I would love to hear any suggestions anyone has :)

  • Try old movie theatres. You can have the reception on the stage. It makes for a really fun atmosphere and very vintage.
  • We were married at Mayslake Peabody It was amazing! It is vintage location, It's a bit pricey but we were able to choose our own caterer who did our alcohol and it kept the costs down.

  • We are getting married at the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate in Joliet, IL. You can have the ceremony in the non-denominational church. Its old and vintagy looking to me. Or you can have it on the lawn in the gardeny area. The mansion itself is old and vintage. You can have your cocktail hour there and/or the recpetion depending on size. They also have a Victorian Ballroom that can be used for the reception.

    We're doing the church ceremony
Cocktail hour and munchies in the mansion
    Recpetion in the Ballroom

    Check it out!
