After months of searching we finally found a rehearsal venue...until they decided to flake on us yesterday. Thankfully we hadn't finalized the invites but it's a huge mess! Now we're in desperate need of a venue for our rehearsal dinner. It's complicated because I'm indian, and for our rehearsal dinners everyone is invited. Like, allll 190 people invited to the wedding. I already maxed out our budget on the reception so we don't have much left over for the rehearsal. And we need Indian food. It just seems impossible. Does anyone know of a place that meets the following criteria?
- Can fit about 175 people
- Really really cheap (we're hoping to pay around $1000 for just the venue)
- Will let you bring your own caterer and alcohol, or has indian catering
- Within Chicago (our wedding is downtown)
Impossible, I know. Alternatively, has anyone had their wedding in the city and rehearsal in the suburbs? Do you provide a shuttle for out-of-town guests under those circumstances, or just assume that they'll rent a car?
