Bridal Salon Advice

I need some advice again ladies.  I've found a dress I really really like and bridesmaid dresses but the only place that has both designers is HOB.  I'm hoping to order them both from the same place cause most places give a discount if you do that.  I've heard and read different things about each of the locations and I'm not sure what to think.  I've been looking at a couple of differnet places too so I'm open to other places too if you have suggestions on budget friendsly places in the western burbs!  Thanks!

I would suggest Wolsfelts in Aurora. They have a ton of bridal dresses and the bridesmaids dresses (from what I saw) are reasonably priced. I am still looking so didn't decide if I am getting my dress from there yet or not but I had a really good experience there. I have also heard from friends who have had weddings or been in weddings that HOB or David's Bridal sometimes aren't any cheaper than some of the privately owned bridal salon's. Good luck!

Before you committ, I would get in writting what the discount would be if you purchase both your dress and the BM dresses from HOB.  I personally had what I felt was a very unprofessional experience at HOB-downtown location and because of that, wouldn't recommend them.

I just bought my wedding gown at HOB Schaumburg.  My sales women was Helen and she was great.  She know what she was doing. She had no problem puting things in writting for me.  I went to the HOB in Glen Ellyn and did not like them and would not go back there.  Schaumburg location was great. HOB does do discounts you need to ask what they can do for you. I also went to DB in Schaumburg and did not have a good experience with the sales person.  I felt like they did not have time for me.  I hope this helps.

I would check out Eva's bridal on Harlem in Chicago.  They are very reasonable and will match pricing. They ordered a dress for me that wasn't in stock at their salon and saved me $500.00.  They are very friendly and will take good care of you.  I agree that the HOB is not very professional downtown.

I just dislike HOB in general.  I felt that they just were pushing me to make a purchase.  When I went in to purchase a dress that would have been my wedding dress, they only had the sample which was torn to shreds.  They barely offered any discount.

I recommend checking out The Bridal Boutique in Naperville.  Very budget friendly and a much MUCH more enjoyable experience.
