Hi ladies...I am so fed up with these guys, I have to vent! If you are looking for a wedding photographer, my suggestion is to NOT look at George Street!!!
My wedding was in April 2011. We booked the photographer a year out, and were really excited about them. We went with them because they seemed nice, the portfolio of the photographer was really good and they were a cost-effective option. This was the ONLY vendor that was not an independent or family run company that we went with. All of the other vendors we had we loved....we have had nothing but problems with these guys. The day before the wedding...hours after I talked to the photographer, I got a call that said she had a family emergency and we had to pick someone to come the next day. Luckily, the photographer we did get was really nice and good (but she has her own website, so you could get her without going through George Street!!!)
We booked the upgraded album that was the contemporary album but were told you could put 8x10, 5x7 or 3x5s in the album....after the wedding, I was told it could ONLY be 8x10s. I was not happy at all. They did allow us to change to a magazine style, which I do not really like but it allowed for more pictures, so I did. They then said that we could have as much or as little say as we wanted....so I picked my pictures, noted what pictures I would like on what pages, which pictures I was hoping to use as background pictures, and which I wanted cropped. Well...I just got my album back today.....and aside from using the pictures I selected, they did not do ANYTHING that I asked them to do. The album looks 100% different than what I was expecting!!!!
Also, we received a free 16x20 canvas picture for the upgrade.....we picked the picture and they made the WRONG one. They did replace it with the correct picture afterwords, but really......How MANY things can go wrong with a single vendor???????!!!!!!!!!
