Just wanted to give a few quick reviews of vendors.
MDM Entertainment-DJ-Matt: Amazing! He was great to work with, so accomodating, easy going, and fun. He kept our guests dancing all night. I would def recommend.
Hyatt Regency O'hare-Reception: Amazing! We couldn't have asked for easier planning. Shari the catering manager was so great and helped us with every last detail. The hotel staff truly wants you to be happy. Also, beautiful architecture inside the hotel.
Essence Photo and Video-Photographer-Lorelei, Videographer-Josh-I can't speak for the actual photos because we haven't seen them yet, but these 2 people were so wonderful to work with. Both of them were extremely friendly and were able to get the shots they wanted without being intrusive. Lorelei even took on tasks of a bridesmaid, helping the girls bustle my dress, pulling out hairspray to fix a few strands of hair, even getting all the guys boutinerres pinned on. If you go with Essence I would def ask to work with Lorelei and Josh they save you so much stress!
Oak Mill Bakery-We had yellow cake with bananas and strawberries. It was delicious and they are reasonably priced. Easy to work with. I recommend.
Fleur Couture-florist-DO NOT RECOMMEND! Very delayed with responding to my questions, bridesmaids bouquets were the wrong flowers and colors (even though it was specifically written out in the contract,) centerpieces were wrong (had to tell the girl what they were supposed to look like, left and when we entered the reception they were better but still wrong.) I've tried to contact them to get some sort of explaination/apology since we paid so much, but I haven't heard back from them. Very disappointing.
Wolsfelt's Victorian Bridal-Dress- Saleslady and seamstress are helpful and nice. Loved my dress. Only problem was the front desk people ocassionally forgot to call when things were ready. I would still recommend.
